Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Clay Boss, an iOS app and website operated by Daniel White ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using Clay Boss, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Using Clay Boss
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Clay Boss. By using the app, you confirm you meet this requirement.
Your Account
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Use a strong password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable Use
Clay Boss is for personal, non-commercial pottery guidance. You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to abuse or circumvent usage limits, or to reverse engineer any part of the service.
Subscriptions & Billing
Free Plan
Clay Boss is free to download. Free accounts include 3 guide generations per month at no cost — no credit card required.
Clay Boss Pro
Pro is a monthly auto-renewing subscription at $4.99/month. Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple — billing, renewals, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID account settings. We never see your payment details.
Cancellation
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you'll retain Pro access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
AI-Generated Content
Clay Boss uses Google's Gemini API to generate pottery guides based on your prompts. A few things to keep in mind:
- ·AI-generated guides are informational and may not be perfect — always use your best judgment in the studio.
- ·Clay Boss is not liable for outcomes resulting from following AI-generated content, including equipment damage or injury.
- ·Your prompts are sent to Google's API to produce results. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- ·We don't claim ownership of the guides you generate — they're yours.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your saved guides — is permanently deleted within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
Disclaimers
Clay Boss is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete. Pottery involves equipment, heat, and materials that carry inherent risk — please follow safe studio practices regardless of any guide.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daniel White shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Clay Boss. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Clay Boss after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
